Distribution Manager (Malaria control)

ROLE PURPOSE
The LLINs distribution Manager will oversee the implementation of Global Fund/PSI supported Save the Children’s Malaria Control Program in Abyei Area administration, Greater Torit and Kapoeta state of South Sudan. She/he will work closely and in consultation with Operation Manager and field based program staff in the implementation of vector control Global Funded Malaria control program interventions (LLINs distribution)

Responsibilities will also include project reports (PUDR) and ensuring the project is implemented in accordance to the agreed contracts and budget, S/he will work under the supervision of Zonal Operation Manager and technical support of Health /Nutrition TS along with close coordination and collaboration with Ministry of Health.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
* Degree, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Social Science or related training such as Medical logistics, Project design, development and management.
* Experience in managing Global Fund projects is Preferred
* Experience working in vector control management/ LLINs distribution and Malaria control preferred.
* Minimum of two years’ experience working in management position in an International Non-Governmental Organization.
* Capacity to implement country wide LLINs Mass distribution and IEC/BCC and ensuring effective linkage between BHI.
* Experience working with communities of diverse cultural practices and low literacy levels.
* Computer literacy with advanced word processing, spreadsheet and presentation skills.
* Excellent organizational, budget, project management, communication and writing skills.
* Leadership skills, including the ability to supervise and motivate staff.
* Experience of proactively identifying and addressing issues.
* Experience of establishing strong and constructive working relationships with colleagues from different functions and organizations.
* Experience in monitoring and evaluation of community-based health programs.
* Ability to frequently travel to the field sites and work in hardship, insecure remote and non-accompanied locations.
* Commitment to the values and principles of Save the Children.

Desirable
* Previous experience working in South Sudan
* Familiarity with communication protocols in security sensitive locations including radio communication protocol.

The duties and responsibilities as set out above are not exhaustive and the role holder may be required to carry out additional duties within reasonableness of their level of skills and experience.

Contract length: 4 months
