JOB PURPOSE
Plan and execute all logistics activities in the project related to fleet and motorized equipment management according to INTERSOS protocols and standards in order have the vehicles and equipment in optimal running conditions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the Logistics officer in planning, establishing and reviewing the fleet and motorized equipment management in the mission/project including its annual budget, in order to identify and prioritize operational needs and objectives of the mission
- Ensure the implementation of the fleet and motorized equipment management activities in the mission ensuring compliance to INTERSOS standards, protocols and procedures This includes the following activities:
- Implement the specific procedures to ensure and to monitor that the vehicles and other motorised equipment (generators, pumps, etc.) inventory, documentation and first aid kit are inspected on a monthly basis by the responsible driver. Guarantee that maintenance services are done on time and fully recorded in the vehicle logbook and that the use of fuel and other consumable items are rational
- Ensure technical support and provide coaching and training to all drivers to ensure they adhere to all INTERSOS driving rules and regulations, take good care of their vehicles, prevent damage, perform routine maintenance activities and fill in the vehicle logbook with all relevant information. Provide to the supervisor advice on vehicle insurance in the mission in order to find the most efficient coverage
- Support the procurement of transportation services in the mission
- Ensure timely Flight and accommodation bookings through UNHAS, commercial flights and IOM hubs accommodation
- Participate in monthly reports according to guidelines (monthly report, Logistics Statistical Report, etc.)
- Update the vehicle tracker and flight booking tracker.
- Timely submission of vehicle, Flights and accommodation invoices to Finance
- Perform delegated tasks according to his speciality and as specified in his job description
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Education & Professional experience
- Secondary education
- Experience as driver or desirable as Head Drivers
- Preferably 1-2 years of proven experience in fleet management.
- Mission language essential. Local working language desirable
- Essential computer literacy (word, excel and internet)
- Service orientation
