Crest Point for Consultancy and Development (CPCD), established in 2018, is an
independent consultancy firm specializing in Monitoring, Evaluation, Research,
and Capacity Building services across the MENA region. CPCD operates in Syria,
Iraq, Turkey, Lebanon, and Yemen, and is actively expanding its reach to North
Africa, the Horn of Africa, and Ukraine.
CPCD has collaborated with international NGOs, such as IOM, UNDP, Oxfam,
Save the Children, Mercy Corps, MdM, Expertise France, RI, JPF, and others.
CPCS aims to bring about data-driven, lasting, and sustainable developments for
clients, partners, and communities, thus ensuring a more accountable and
evidence-based programming. CPCD supports its partners to develop their
performance, increase their efficiency and enhance their transparency towards
their communities and donors. We provide high quality services with skilled
teams who work in complex and conflict environments. These teams help us
design and implement services in line with the needs of our partners.

Objective (summary of the position)

To conduct accurate and effective field research to collect and analyze field data
that supports the organization’s research and development projects.

Tasks and responsibilities

Data Collection
• Attend training and orientation sessions.
• Collect quality data from local communities or target sites through
interviews, surveys, and observations.
• Coordinate field operations and identify potential participants to
gather both qualitative and quantitative data as required.
• Provide full transcription of collected data in comprehensive and clear
manner, following the instruction of CPCD team.
• Process and analyze the collected data and provide detailed reports on
the findings.Prepare daily or weekly reports on the progress of the
fieldwork, including any challenges or developments.
• Collaborate with other teams such as planning teams or technical
teams to ensure effective field operations.
• Provide necessary support to other researchers
• Follow field coordinator or team leader instructions and timeline and
conduct required activities as per defined plan.
• Maintain confidentiality and protect the rights of participants.

Communication
Communicate effectively with CPCD team, including, but not limited, to CPCD
Head of Projects Unit, CPCD Projects Coordinator, and CPCD M&E and Operation
Coordinator effectively. CPCD team should be updated and informed regarding
the progress of the data collection, challenges, and red flag, on daily basis.

Candidate profile & qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or a related field.
• At least 2-3 years of experience in field research and data collection.
• Good knowledge of monitoring and evaluation methods and principles.
• Ability to effectively communicate with local communities and conduct
interviews.
• Proficiency in Arabic
• Strong English language skills
• Ability to travel to targeted locations as requested.
• Ability to work independently and under pressure.
