We work in 2 geographical locations in Uganda. In Northwestern Uganda in the Palorinya refugee settlement and Southwestern Uganda in the Nakivale Settlement. We hereby present an exciting position for anyone who would like to use their communications and visibility skills to enhance our work.

About the Position:

The MEAL Officer – Maternity Cover will be supporting the country office in data analysis, reporting, tracking indicators, documenting lessons learnt and conducting assessments for a period of 3 months and 5 days from 13th January 2025 to 18th April 2025.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Detailed responsibilities:

  1. Routine reporting on all specified platforms, including monthly and quarterly reports, both internal and external.
  2. Coordinate and carry out data entry and data analysis, for both quantitative and qualitative data collected.
  3. Conduct baseline surveys in all the different project areas.
  4. Facilitate learning processes to identify gaps and contribute to ongoing improvement of projects,
  5. while working closely and communicating results to program teams and country management.
  6. Refine indicators and design appropriate data collection tools.
  7. Routine monitoring of field activities.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned. The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all-inclusive.

Essential skills, knowledge, and competencies

Requirements

The successful Candidate is required to meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a Ugandan National
  • Possess a bachelor’s degree in social work or any relevant field, a post graduate diploma in M&E is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Previous experience in the humanitarian sector.
  • Good knowledge in designing M&E tools and systems.
  • Commitment to IsraAID’s values: Professionalism, Humanity, Collaboration, Flexibility and Adaptability, Resilience
