Summary of key responsibilities:

The Monitoring and Evaluation Senior Analyst will:

  1. Ensure that the MINUSCA DDR offices supported by UNOPS provides analysis, lessons learned and evaluation evidence that supports results reporting as well as program and policy development.
  2. Have to go to each five working sites in order to establish a survey of the former CVR project’s activities and to train the MINUSCA DDR/UNOPS field teams in Monitoring and Evaluation.
  3. Ensure that the current registration database is expanded to incorporate monitoring and evaluation (M&E) indicators about cash-for-work activities, on-the-job training and start-up of income generating activities.
  4. Support MINUSCA-DDR Section and the database manager to identify key indicators to be monitored during cash-for-work activities, on-the-job training and start-up of income generating activities.
  5. Support the database manager to integrate the identified monitoring and evaluation indicators in the electronic database and to generate statistics reports reflecting requirements indicated by MINUSCA-DDR.

Requirements

Education:

  • A Master’s degree in Social Sciences, Political Sciences or Development or other related field is required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Political Sciences or development with 2 additional years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of the Master’s degree.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as project manager, monitoring and evaluation specialist, consultant, site manager in emergency or in any other related area is required.
  • Experience in post-conflict transition contexts, at the field level is an asset.
  • A working experience in hardship duty stations is an asset.

Language:

  • Fluent in French is required.
  • Intermediate in English is required.
