ACF is anticipating funding for a Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) Project to be implemented in Mubi North, Mubi South, Michika, and Maiha Local Government Areas of Adamawa State. To support the effective implementation of this project, ACF invites applications from qualified, committed, and values-driven individuals for the following positions:

Position Summary

The MEARL Assistant will support the design and implementation of monitoring, evaluation, accountability, research, and learning systems for the SRHR project, ensuring data-driven decision-making and accountability to affected populations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support data collection, verification, and analysis in line with the project MEARL framework.
  • Maintain accurate project databases and documentation.
  • Support baseline, midline, and endline assessments.
  • Facilitate feedback and complaint response mechanisms at community level.
  • Support learning activities, reflection sessions, and documentation of best practices.
  • Assist in preparing MEARL sections of donor and internal reports.
  • Ensure ethical data collection and confidentiality of beneficiaries.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Social Sciences, Monitoring and Evaluation, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in MEAL/MEARL roles within development or humanitarian projects.
  • Experience with data collection tools (digital or paper-based).
  • Strong analytical and report-writing skills.
  • Knowledge of AAP principles is an added advantage.

Skills and Competencies

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use computer applications, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite, is a mandatory requirement for this position.
  • Understanding of results-based monitoring and evaluation
  • Ability to support baseline, midline, and endline data collection
  • Familiarity with log frames, indicators, and reporting frameworks
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work with field teams and communities
  • Willingness to travel to project locations
