DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Give intramuscular or subcutaneous injections according to immunization protocol.

· Fill in the immunization cards and the immunization register book at the community level

· Give information about the next immunization and secondary side effects.

· Increase awareness of the mothers about immunization. Encourage them to immunize their children.

· In close collaboration with the nurses and CO, ensure that all admitted patients are being vaccinated correctly and timely.

· Control of the cold chain according to the protocol.

· Dispose of the waste correctly (safety boxes).

· Manage the stock of vaccines and other immunization material and fill in the stock cards correctly.

· Order necessary medical and non-medical items from the main pharmacy on a daily basis.

JOB SPECIFICATION

Academic

• Trained as a Nurse and graduated from a recognized institution on Somalia

Experience

· 2-3 years in similar position

Work related skills

· Good organizational skills

· Good time management skills

· Strong communication skills, including ability to lead and manage remote

· Ability to work in harsh conditions

· Able to set targets and meet own targets on a monthly basis and follow up targets of reporting colleagues
