PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Partnerships Coordinator leads the management of ICS SP’s implementing-partner relationships for our Commercial Sexual Exploitation of Children (CSEC) and online child safety programming — overseeing project delivery, partner performance, and accountability — while providing the technical guidance needed to ensure interventions reflect global best practice and support government uptake and scale.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Partnership & Project Management
- Oversee the start-up, implementation, and administration of CSEC and online safety partner projects, ensuring delivery on time, on scope, on budget, and in line with donor regulations.
- Set performance objectives and indicators with partners; guide, support, and formally review partner performance against contractual obligations.
- Serve as ICS SP’s primary point of contact for partner relationships, resolving implementation bottlenecks and strengthening partner capacity to deliver.
2. Technical Guidance
- Provide technical support to the design and implementation of CSEC and online child safety interventions, and contribute to new tools, resources, and solutions.
- Build the capacity of ICS SP and partner staff on CSEC and online child safety programming.
3. Accountability & Reporting
- Support partners to produce timely progress, process, and financial reports in line with organisational and donor requirements, and consolidate these for internal and external accountability.
4. Monitoring, Learning & Research
- Develop and implement an M&E and learning framework for CSEC and online safety interventions, working with the MEAL Coordinator and research partners to embed current evaluation practice.
- Identify strategic opportunities to share and disseminate evaluation and research findings.
5. Networking & Advocacy
- Build and sustain relationships with government departments, technical partners, and national/sub-national coordination structures to advance programme goals.
- Lead the CSEC and online safety advocacy agenda, providing evidence and strategic direction to support government uptake, institutionalisation, and scale-up of cost-effective solutions.
6. Representation
- Represent ICS SP at government, donor, and partner forums, in close coordination with the Programmes Manager and Director.
REQUISITE REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in child protection programming and partnership management, including at least 8 years focused on prevention and response to violence and exploitation against children and young people
- Strong technical knowledge of global evidence and best practice on CSEC and online child safety, with demonstrated experience embedding these in partner and government systems and service delivery platforms.
- Proven track record coordinating complex, multi-partner development programmes, including partner performance management and accountability frameworks.
- Demonstrated advocacy and influencing skills, with experience in engaging government, private sector and multi-sector coalitions on child protection issues.
- Sound understanding of project planning, budgeting, and donor reporting requirements.
- Experience supporting partners to design, monitor, evaluate, and disseminate project outcomes and research.
- Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills, with confidence presenting to diverse audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Gender, Public Health, Child Protection, or a related field; a relevant Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with technology-for-development (Tech4Dev) approaches is an advantage.
