Location: Mogadishu, Jowhar, Balcad, Warsheikh , Beledweyne, Baidao, Diirsoor, Berdale, Afgoye, Bardhere, Garowe, Burtinle, Badhan, Hargiesa, Borama, Burao

Reporting: MEAL Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY

The Enumerator will be reporting to the MEAL Coordinator with whom to keep constant coordination with other MEAL and Program team. The Enumerator will be responsible for data collection and uploading into the EBMS system. These data collection will include but not limited to Market Assessments, Needs Assessments, Onsite Distribution Monitoring (OPD), Post Distribution Monitoring (PDM), End line surveys and any other data required by MEAL team. The necessary forms for the data are available in the EBMS which the Enumerators are required to attend to and upload back onto the EBMS system for consumption. Other Enumerator responsibilities will be for collecting data from a population by conducting surveys or interviews or observations. The will be tasked with gathering accurate information by asking questions and accurately recording the responses for uploading into the system. The enumerator is required to adhere to all IRS values and principles as advised by the MEAL Assistant / Officer**.**

SCOPE OF ROLE:

  • Provide support in downloading the questionnaire for data collection from the EBMS system
  • Provide support in uploading the collected data into the EBMS system
  • Ensuring appropriate turnaround time for all data collection at the right time in the right locations
  • Support in conducting Needs Assessments, Baseline, Onsite, Post distribution, End line and any other surveys.
  • Gather accurate information from FGDs, KIIs or Households by asking questions
  • Accurately record the responses received from the populations interviewed
  • Review and upload the data information into the appropriate database (EBMS)
  • Proactively verifying data through source documents
  • Complying with security backups and regular check-ups to ensure the safety of the data being stored
  • Avoid double entry and uploading of the data
  • Provide excellent and accurate data collection services
  • Adhere to IRS values, policies and procedures as advised by MEAL Assistant / Officer in work execution

Any other related duties as assigned by the MEAL Assistant / Officer

  • Minimum a year relevant experience in carrying out similar activity.
  • Excellent knowledge of Somali and English languages.
  • Must be able to use smart phones and Computers in data collection & uploading.
