Whether that’s supporting someone following a hospital stay or an emergency, training people on how to save a life, helping refugees and asylum seekers who have been forced to leave their homes, or working with our Red Cross and Red Crescent partners across the world, we rely on the kind acts of our volunteers and supporters to ensure that everyone gets the help they need in a crisis.Whenever a humanitarian crisis occurs in the UK or overseas, the Red Cross is always one of the first organisations on the scene thanks to our local volunteers. We are guided by the seven fundamental principles of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement: *Humanity *Impartiality *Neutrality *Independence *Voluntary service *Unity *UniversalityThe fundamental principles mean that people we help can trust that we’re completely neutral, independent and impartial.
