Core Functions / Responsibilities:

Under the general supervision of the Programme Managers and direct supervision of the National Project Officer LMI in IOM Guinea, the Project Assistant will support to the implementation of the Labour Mobility and Social Inclusion and Immigration and Border Governance project portfolios in Guinea in full compliance with IOM rules and procedures and donor requirements. More specifically, he will have the following responsibilities:

  1. Provide administrative support for the organization of project events, workshops, and meetings.
  2. Prepare and process purchase requests, travel requests, payment requests, and other administrative documents.
  3. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project activities, including filing and archiving of project documents.
  4. Assist in the logistical arrangements for field missions and other project-related travel.
  5. Provide technical advice and answer questions related to financial procedures.
  6. Any other tasks and responsibilities that may be assigned

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, Finances, or related fields with 3 years proven experience in the above fields

Experience

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Experience in international organizations or United Nations agencies.
  • Personal commitment, flexible working hours and the ability to work efficiently and harmoniously under pressure in a multicultural environment.

Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail, Outlook; previous experience in SAP is a distinct advantage.

Languages

  • For all applicants, fluency in French and English is required (oral and written).
  • National languages is an advantage
