BACKGROUND

Windle International Somalia (WISOM) is an International Non-Governmental organization with oversight support and coordination by the regional office in Nairobi. WISOM was founded with the belief that good education was essential if Africa was to meet the challenges it faced. WISOM is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Project Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY

  • Lead the planning, execution and completion of project from initiation to closure including conducting feasibility studies, site assessments and providing actionable reports.
  • Develop and manage detailed project schedules and budget plans
  • Provide technical oversight, supervise and ensure delivery of high-quality items in line with the donor requirements.
  • Prepare and present regular progress reports to Senior Management & Consrotium partners and other stakeholders
  • Foster a collaborative and productive work environment for project teams and work closely with the community representatives and government staff.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve any emerging issues.
  • Ensure all project documentation is complete, accurate and archived appropriately.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Maters’ Degree in Project Management or Social Science or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of proven experience in managing large-scale projects including WASH related projects
  • Strong financial and risk management abilities.
  • Previous experience in project coordination or management support roles.
  • Proficiency in Project Management tools (e.g., MS Project)
  • Excellent leadership, communication and team coordination skills.
  • Experience Using Enterprise resource planner (ERP) system.
