The Sudanese Red Crescent Society (SRCS) and the Norwegian Red Cross (NoRC) invite experienced consultants or consultancy firms to conduct a Needs Assessment & Outcome Monitoring focused on health, cash, and protection in Sudan. SRCS, the first voluntary national society in Sudan, serves as an auxiliary to the state in humanitarian work. Established in 1956 by a decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, SRCS aims to alleviate suffering and strengthen the resilience of vulnerable communities. With 18 branches across Sudan, SRCS plays a critical role in disaster response, healthcare, and community development. It is a founding member of the General Secretariat of the Arab Red Crescent Societies and has been a part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement since 1957. As part of the same movement, NoRC is dedicated to alleviating human suffering, protecting life and health, and upholding human dignity, especially in conflict and disaster settings. NoRC partners with SRCS to strengthen emergency response, healthcare access, and humanitarian protection in Sudan.

Purpose

The selected consultant will be responsible for:

  • Conducting a multisectoral needs assessment to document key humanitarian needs in targeted locations.
  • Evaluating predefined outcome indicators to measure the effectiveness of past and ongoing interventions.
  • Providing evidence-based recommendations to guide future programmatic design.
  • Engaging with community members through surveys, focus group discussions, and key informant interviews to ensure comprehensive data collection.
