Job Description

Purpose of the position:

To deliver full range of services, maintenance and repair of rigs, all hydraulically operated machines, air compressors, heavy duty and light vehicles, generators, and similar electromechanically equipment for the drilling and electromechanically operations.

  1. Major Responsibilities
  • Deliver full range of services, maintenance and repair of rigs, other hydraulically operated machines, air compressors, heavy duty and light vehicles, generators, and similar electro mechanical equipment for organization use to ensure safety, efficiency and reliability.
  • Observe prescribed work safety rules and timely respond to service and maintenance requests for the drilling and electro mechanical team.
  • Diagnosing faults, investigating breakdowns, determining spare parts required, and carrying out necessary repairs on hydraulic and air compressors, pumps, and diesel engines including other heavy and light vehicles according to established preventive maintenance schedule.
  • Maintain accurate, updated records/ of major and preventive rig maintenance in adherence to Fleet Management  policy
  • Prepare monthly rig and vehicles maintenance report and submit timely and provide administrative support to the unit and other divisions/departments as per required.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Minimum of 12thor 10+3 TVET Diploma, and related such as in Auto electricity, Auto mechanics, General mechanics, woodwork, metal work.
  • Training and experience requirements: Minimum of 4 years and above in rig/hydraulic machines and air compressor maintenance, light and heavy vehicles maintenance and ability in welding, disassemble, overhaul, and assemble engines; experience and knowledge in electrical equipment of generators and pumps is advantageous.

Other Requirement:

Minimum 3rd grade driving license mandatory

Effective in written and verbal communication in English, and able to read and understand operation manuals of rig/hydraulic machines and equipment.

Computer literate (word and excel)

Working Environment / Conditions:

  • Work environment: Frequent travel to the field for drilling.
  • Travel:  100% Domestic.
