International Business & Technical Consultants, Inc. (IBTCI), a U.S. based international development consulting company established in 1987, has worked in over one hundred countries and implemented over two hundred projects. IBTCI serves government agencies, private sector companies and several donor agencies. IBTCI specializes in Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) across many sectors including, but not limited to, conflict and crisis, democracy and governance, economic growth, education, environment, and global health.

Overview: IBTCI is seeking multiple candidates to fill both long and short-term positions for the USAID- Combating Wildlife Crime in Southern Africa Activity. Positions will be based in Southern Africa. The purpose of this contract is to 1) coordinate learning from multiple landscape-based combating wildlife crime activities awarded by USAID/ Southern Africa 2) to support strategic regional activities that are necessary to address the wildlife crime challenges but that fall outside any discreet landscape. These positions are contingent on a successful award, and South African Nationals are strongly encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong experience working in diverse international teams is required;
  • Experience working within USAID projects is required;
  • Proven experience in combating wildlife crime is strongly preferred;
  • Experience in wildlife, conservation, biodiversity is required;
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills are required;
  • Proven communication and teamwork skills are required;
  • Knowledge of stakeholders in the region particularly local wildlife organizations is strongly preferred.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Strong experience working in diverse international teams is required;
  • Experience working within USAID projects is required;
  • Experience in wildlife, conservation, biodiversity is required;
  • Excellent spoken and written English skills are required;
  • Proven communication and teamwork skills are required.

Working Environment: Corporate office environment as well as field work.

Education: Postgraduate degree in an appropriate field required.

Supervisory Responsibility: These positions do have supervisory responsibilities.

Travel: International travel required.
