PSI is now looking for qualified, results-oriented candidates for the post of Senior Clinical Activity Manager for an anticipated five-year project funded by USAID in HIV/AIDS prevention and treatment in Burundi “Reaching an AIDS-Free Generation in Burundi (RAFG) Activity”. The project will be implemented in the provinces covered by the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) to support epidemic control, increased access to antiretroviral therapy and awareness of key populations. The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of the Chief of Party.
RESPONSIBILITES:
- The Senior Clinical Activity Manager is responsible for various technical components of the Activity, including clinical aspect of HIV/AIDS service delivery.
- He or she must ensure timely delivery of required objectives and high-quality deliverables.
- The Senior Clinical Activity Manager participates in technical meetings, understands national guidelines, and supports onsite training, tutoring, supervision, and mentorship to ensure accurate referral, provision and documentation of service provision and clinical outcomes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Master’s degree in health management or relevant field with a minimum of 10 years of implementing partner or donor experience; a medical degree is preferred but not required. USAID will also consider a Bachelor’s degree in health management, administration, or a relevant field with a minimum of 15 years of health project management experience.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and coordinate with a range of stakeholders in the context of complex and shifting priorities.
- At least 5 years of supervisory experience.
- At least 3 years of experience working closely with health care providers to improve technical approaches for quality clinical care; preferably related to HIV/AIDS testing, diagnosis, care, treatment and clinical monitoring.
- Prior experience in training, capacity building or mentorship of health care providers.
- Experience in clinical activity management and activity reporting using data management programs.
- Experience in using clinical data for decision-making.
- Possesses excellent communication in English as well as French and coordination skills.
The successful candidate will have excellent writing, analytical, interpersonal, organizational, and cross-cultural skills; demonstrated ability to perform and prioritize a variety of tasks on short notice within designated deadlines; and an interest in future overseas posting with PSI.
The candidate must have a work permit for Burundi.
