The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is excited to be recruiting for a Senior Programme Manager to oversee a portfolio of projects aimed at Catalysing Private Sector Participation (CPSP) to scale up nutrition in Mozambique.
GAIN is a Swiss-based foundation launched at the UN in 2002 to tackle the human suffering caused by malnutrition. Working with both governments and businesses, we aim to transform food systems so that they deliver more nutritious food for all people. In particular, we aim to make healthier food choices more desirable, more available, and more affordable. GAIN’s mission is to advance nutrition outcomes by improving consumption of nutritious and safe food for all people, especially those most vulnerable to malnutrition.
CPSP will provide a contribution to evidence-based models and interventions for effective nutrition implemented by the private sector in Mozambique. We are now seeking a dynamic Senior Programme Manager to plan, organise, lead and manage the CPSP portfolio efficiently and effectively. Key responsibilities of this role will include;
- Lead and provide management support to the implementation of all project components and ensuring effective and successful delivery of project milestones and results, ensuring an appropriate programme or project management framework in line with GAIN’s Project Management Process.
- Develop an efficient internal communication strategy to ensure clear, effective communication with all levels of management within the project teams.
- Carry out regular budget monitoring and forecasting to ensure spend within the agreed budget parameters.
- Act as an advocate for private sector engagement in nutrition in Mozambique, on behalf of GAIN.
- Line manage a number of direct reports including supporting work plan development and performance management.
To be considered, candidates will need substantial management experience in leading and developing projects at international level in the private sector, food industry or with development organisations. Knowledge of donor reporting is required, as is the ability to design and implement monitoring and evaluation systems. Candidates will also need to evidence a solid track record in building effective networks at a senior level that have led to positive fundraising outcomes.
