Scope 

Reporting to camp manager and responsible for the efficient coordination and management of store functions for IRC’s office in kebribeyah, Storekeeper must be able to properly keep Program supplies, asset and equipment, whilst ensuring best practices and maintaining proper recording & documentation; – 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate & up to date store records & documentation for all materials in the store as per IRC policy & procedures.
  • Keep the store clean & arranged.
  • Keep/store the materials by category in zone or program & make sure that proper materials handling is applied.
  • Make sure that the items are grouped / arranged in qualities that are easy to count.
  • Make sure that no expired materials are stored in the warehouse.
  • Make sure that delivery is prepared for newly purchased materials & sore release is issued whenever issuing item from store.
  • Open stock card for each item in the warehouse.
  • Make sure that the same materials but different donors have different stock card & pin card.
  • With coordination of Supply chain cross check & update asset, office & equipment tracking & report on quarterly basis.
  • Update prolog on daily basis & prepare the report on 26 of every month.
  • Settle the utilities payment on monthly basis
  • Prepare loading & unloading of materials & settle the payment on time.
  • Perform any other related duties assigned by immediate supervisor.
  • Keep warehouse records on prolog & daily update the prolog for
  • Update bin card, warehouse register daily.
  • Ensure all program supplies store as IRC store management policies.
  • Raise PR’s of SC department (Utilities, Communication, office & Guest house rents etc.
  • Produce routine cash / payment projections for Senior Supply Chain Manager
  • Produce and submit routine purchase status reports for Senior Supply Chain Manager
  • Support SC team on all retinue work as assigned by SSCM

Job Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Supply chain management, Business Administration, or any related field of study.
  • Minimum of three years of related work experience for Diploma graduate and
  • One/two years of related work experience for Degree Holders
  • Knowledge of generic procurement procedures and practices (IRC or NGO experience advantageous).
  • Familiarity with major donor and local regulations / laws advantageous.
  • Competent in spoken and written English
  • Good mathematical skills.
  • Competent use of PC especially spreadsheets.

Since October 2012, the IRC has been responding to humanitarian needs of Nigerians. The IRC initially intervened in response to floods that affected over 7 million people across the country, destroying harvest and damaging homes. The IRC is currently implementing programs in Health, Protection, WASH, Nutrition, Food Security, and Women’s Protection and Empowerment (WPE) in Adamawa and Borno States in North-Eastern Nigeria.

The IRC is dedicated to making women and adolescent girls healthier from the earliest phase of acute crises (a target group most vulnerable during crisis) and implements evidence-based reproductive health interventions in line with the SPHERE-standard Minimum Initial Service Package for Reproductive Health in Crises (MISP). The goal is to ensure that the IRC’s health responses in emergencies include the core package of Reproductive Health (RH) services in its interventions.

The IRC’s Reproductive Health (RH) program is currently implementing (MISP) for RH in 4 health care centers in MMC and Jere LGAs and 1 IDP camp clinic. In addition the program is starting up an emergency mobile programming outside of these areas of Maiduguri in coordination with the WPE team. The focus of this program is to provide quality comprehensive RH and WPE services to conflict-affected women and girls in a timely manner. In addition to the mobile program, the WPE and RH joint mobile teams will be in charge of rapid assessments and rapid response. The mobile teams will be focused in the newly opened LGAs and emergency areas previously inaccessible due to conflict and insecurity. These teams will provide life-saving services to populations outside of Maiduguri, who have not had access to services in approximately 3 years.
