Job Description
Animal health care:
– Perform castrations and other surgeries
– Consult, prescribe and/or administer more
complex treatments
– Maintain good communication with animal owners
so that information is well conveyed
– Comply with the defined
medical
protocols and review them when needed
Surgical and pharmaceutical stock management
– Anticipate the needs to
replenish the stock of medicines and material needed to perform surgeries
– Pharmacy stock
management
o
Record stock
movements on
the medication form
o
Anticipate needs and
prepare de orders
Support the volunteering program
– Develop a training
plan
for volunteers to ensure that basic performance standards
are met
– Supervise and monitor
the volunteers in all fields to ensure the best and most profitable outcomes
for all parties involved while simultaneously leaving space for autonomy
– If necessary,
support the preparation and validation of the internship report.
Job Requirements
- Candidates
must have experience in surgical and outpatient care
- Fluent in English and intermediate
level of Portuguese
- Knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel
