The Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for:

  1. Receiving and processing goods in the warehouse.
  2. Inventory Management by regularly conducting counts and reconciliations and ensuring accuracy.
  3. Order fulfillment and dispatch.
  4. Coordinate with logistics for timely order dispatch.
  5. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse.
  6. Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  7. Complete necessary paperwork, such as outbound and inbound forms and maintain accurate records of received goods, dispatched orders, and inventory levels.
  8. Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members regarding inventory and warehouse activities.
  9. Conduct quality checks on products to ensure they meet established standards before shipping.
  10. Report any quality issues and discrepancies to the relevant parties.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  1. Minimum of a relevant Diploma.
  2. Previous experience working in a warehouse or similar setting.
  3. Ability to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
  4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  5. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  6. Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Domestically, it operates 5 distribution centers (located in Oklahoma, Indiana, California, Tennessee and Pennsylvania). In FY 2015, Feed the Children distributed 107 million pounds of food and essentials valued at $302 million to people in the U.S., and internationally, it sponsored approximately 24,500 children, addressing the root causes of poverty through sponsorship of children, communities and schools. Through its partnership with NAEHCY (National Association of Educators for Homeless Children and Youth), Feed The Children has distributed more than 500,000 backpacks filled with school supplies, food and personal care items to homeless children enrolled in U.S. public schools. In Africa, Asia, Central and South America, Feed The Children provides more than 350,000 meals daily through school feeding programs.
