At the Association for Water and Rural Development (AWARD), we know that water is an amazing integrator of human and ecological systems.While access to water remains a primary issue in South Africa, we do have some of the best water policy in the world. Our work is to test some of these policies in practice. We do so by involving communities in a process of social learning and by working to bridge the gap between environmental and social issues.
