Biblionef
Biblionef is a registered Non-Profit Company and all donations made to the organisation are tax-deductible. Established in 1998 by a former Dutch Ambassador, Biblionef forms part of an international network of independent organisations with offices in Belgium, Netherlands, France, Suriname and Ghana.
Biblionef operates according to UNESCO’s Book Donations Charter which stipulates that book donation programmes ‘must be adapted to the needs and sensitivity of the beneficiaries and must contribute to the strengthening of all elements of the book sector in the country in question’
Biblionef donates new storybooks to organisations with an educational focus, e.g. schools, ECD Centre’s, literacy organisations, drop-in centres, children’s homes, etc. These books support endeavours to improve literacy levels and help create the right circumstances to foster a love for reading.
