DementiaSA
DementiaSA is a South African nonprofit organisation (NPO) that assists families, communities and health professionals who have limited access to private health care, to live with dementia or care for those with dementia. DementiaSA is committed to upholding the dignity of all persons affected by dementia and places a premium on providing services in under-developed rural and peril-urban areas. It is at the forefront of improving the quality of life of those living with dementia and those who care for them. As a lead NGO in the field in dementia, the organisation provides support, counselling, education and training to families, care providers and professional bodies caring for people living with dementia of various types, including Alzheimer’s disease.
