Eat Better South Africa! (EBSA) is a community-based outreach program working to benefit and improve the nutrition education of local community members in South Africa.
EBSA’s mission is to educate South Africa’s community members about the dangers of excessive sugar and carbohydrate consumption and to teach them how to overcome sugar addiction, how to budget, plan, buy and prepare healthier foods, and coach them on the benefits of following healthy and well-balanced eating habits, and the effects this has on the body’s triglycerides, insulin, glucose, BP, weight and general health. We aim to achieve this by educating people about healthy food choices, especially the relationship between excess consumption of refined sugars and unhealthy fats relating to chronic diseases.
