OUR WORKWe work to establish creative learning spaces focused on arts education to help children and youth explore and embrace innovation and diversity through hands-on experiences in an atmosphere of playfulness and acceptance.
ESF’s mission is to curate and deliver creative learning experiences within local communities to empower and engage the next generation of problem solvers through arts, cultural exchange and facilitation of life skills.
THE INSPIRATION BEHIND ESF“Children and young people should have the opportunity to follow their dreams and imaginations—to freely express feelings, thoughts, and experiences in open and creative ways. We created the ESF to help give children and young people these opportunities.” – Elisa Sednaoui.Inspired by her experiences growing up between the culturally diverse environments of Egypt, Italy, and France,Elisa Sednaoui launched ESF to provide creative learning programs for children and youth.In 2016, following a few successful seasonal art education workshops, ESF inaugurated Funtasia, a permanent cultural center in Luxor (Egypt) that offers weekly after-school classes and year-round activities. ESF’s operations have evolved from a focus on children and youth to also include skills development and creative facilitation programs for adults, thereby increasing their employability.The foundation now also implements programs in Italy, while simultaneously working to replicate its model in other countries across the Middle East, North Africa, Europe and the rest of the world.
