This revolution in storage and public health protection has quietly been spreading “under the radar” and is a central part of the story of American technology’s contribution to the alleviation of world hunger that deserves to be told – but has not yet been. Below is a summary of this second green revolution: the “Storage Revolution”.Founded in 1992, GrainPro, Inc. of Concord, Massachusetts, USA and its wholly owned subsidiary, GrainPro Philippines of Subic Bay, provide safe, cost-effective solar drying and airtight storage throughout the world, especially for hot, humid climates. GrainPro’s safe, post-harvest technologies for food grains, seeds and other dry food commodities as used in over 80 countries are nearly all patented. These products are principally manufactured at the GrainPro Philippines Inc. facility (opened in 2007). Examples of these products are pictured at the bottom of this profile.
