JUÁREZ & ASSOCIATES is a minority owned and independently operated small business providing management consulting services and conducting problem-solving research for public and private sectors around the world. During the past several decades, J&A has been partnering with USAID and host country governments to improve the quality of, equity in and access to educational systems, including access for children and youth in crisis and conflict environments. J&A projects are focused on improving reading skills for children in the primary grades, as well as on improved ability of positive youth programming to generate workforce readiness and life skills. Specifically related to early grade reading (EGR), J&A has provided research for policy initiatives, supported national education reform efforts, developed EGR curricula and supplemental materials in multiple languages, scaled initiatives nationally, expanded book distribution, and developed education management information systems. Our work places particular emphasis on sustainable and inclusive education with a focus on vulnerable populations such as adolescent girls, indigenous groups, language minorities, children with disabilities and out-of-school and at-risk youth.
