Lafiya Nigeria enables access to safe family planning in northern Nigeria. By using a cost-effective and community-based distribution model, Lafiya Nigeria provides women and girls with access to contraception and information about family planning. We purchase and distribute an innovative, self-injectable contraceptive called ‘Sayana Press’ (or DMPA-SC) free of charge, which provides contraceptive cover for three months from a single injection. We have distributed over 300,000 doses so far.
