National Organisation of the Blind in South Africa (NOBSA)

The National Organisation of the Blind in South Africa (NOBSA) which was formed and  known as TABBA started in 1973. Over the years a need was identified by the blind to group themselves to express their needs and aspiration formed namely, Tansvaal Association for Blind Adults (TABBA) It focused on the school leaver who encountered many problems when entering into rejection community. Then we changed the Organisation name to  The National Organisation of the Blind in South Africa (NOBSA) seeing not only Adults but community at large is affected . The situation has not improved but has detoriated due to the economic depression, which urges anyone to press for survival and selfishly ignore or oppress any other person to penetrate the selected work opportunity.
