Pan Africa ILGA
The PAI Secretariat is based in Johannesburg, South Africa. The Pan Africa International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association (PAI) is a federation of organisations in Africa working to improve human rights based on sexual orientation and gender identity and expression (SOGIE). PAI has undergone a revival in the past two years as a result of two significant events. In November 2013 a consultative meeting was held in South Africa that was followed by a regional conference in Kenya in 2014 where the current executive board of PAI was elected with ten representatives from the continent.
