But that’s not the reality for millions of children around the world who are currently orphaned or abandoned without a family to call their own.
Selamta restores family, dignity, and hope to vulnerable children and families because we believe every child deserves to grow up in a loving, stable family. Our approach to ending the orphan crisis is family-based and community-integrated. We build a foundation of family on 4 cornerstones: education, health & wellness, psychosocial support, spiritual & life skills development, each of which is applied to our prevention, Outreach Program, and restoration, Forever Family Program. Our first constellation of homes is on the outskirts of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
