Solidarity Initiative for Refugees
Established in 2016, Solidarity Initiative for Refugees (SIR) is a registered and prominent refugee-led organization (RLO) in Kakuma, Turkana County, with a vision of a world where refugees, despite the challenges they face, have the opportunity to lead fulfilling lives, contribute to their communities, and reach their full potential. We leverage digital technologies to empower refugee and host community youth in Kakuma and Kalobeyei, with relevant skills and tools to build a better future for themselves and become economically self-sustained. We exist to empower young people through digital solutions and innovations, women empowerment and livelihood.
