Tumaini International Trust
In the early 2000s, Stanley and Rose Mutunga felt a calling to respond to the devastation of the AIDS epidemic in their country of origin, Kenya. Their vision was to create a sustainable child sponsorship program, one that creates an avenue where both the sponsor and the recipient meet and correspond while learning from each other developing mutual relationships. More than a decade later, this goal is lived out through Vision Trips, and regular correspondence as the work of Tumaini International now empowers 7 of 47 counties of Kenya.
Since it's inception, Tumaini branched out into other areas of humanitarian aid including a walk-in medical clinic and mobile outreach units, an elite boarding school for high school girls, and seven community-based organizations providing hard-working adults with the tools they need to thrive.
