POST TYPE: Fixed Term – 9 month

Child Safeguarding:

Level 3 – the responsibilities of the post may require the post holder to have regular contact with or access to children or young people.

ROLE PURPOSE:

The Field Assistant will have the responsibility of the coordination and implementation of project activities and provide support to the team of “Safe Cities” Project as required. S/he will play a role in technical planning, financial and administrative coordination and ensuring that project activities are implemented according to work plans.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

Reports to: “ Safe Cities” Project Manager

Staff directly reporting to this post: N/A

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

Project Implementation:

  • Supporting “ Safe Cities” project team with administrative and logistical services in Ard El Lawa;
  • Delivering payments to field teams and supervising the settlement of open advances;
  • Supporting the project technical team in organizing trainings, workshops, open days and other events in the field, as deemed necessary;
  • Provide assistance and support to local NGOs, civil society actors and other partners for quality; implementation of project activities;
  • Conduct any other tasks requested by Project Manager.
  • Develop positive relationship with SC staff in field sites and with Country Office teams.

Reporting and documentation:

  • Establishing and maintain the project’s information management system and archive;
  • Maintaining proper inventory records of project material and publication;
  • Responsible for project documentation;
  • Report weekly to line manager on tasks updates.
