JOB SUMMARY
A complex emergency is unfolding in the Kasai region in DRC, as result of inter-community tensions and clashes between different groups. Protection concerns and mental health distress have been reported. These include physical mutilation, sexual violence, killings and detention in inhuman conditions. As result, 30.000 refugees have fled across the border to Angola, the expected refugee numbers by December 2017 is 50.000.
Improve the mental health status, psychosocial wellbeing and protection of the refugee population in Cacanda, Mussungue reception centres and Louva camp through the delivery of community based MHPSS care and quality SGBV activities.
GEOGRAPHICAL SCOPE OF INTERVENTION:

ORGANIZATION CHART
The successful candidate will be based in Dundo, Lunda Norte, travelling frequently to the reception centres and camps in the Lunda Norte District – ANGOLA.
FUNCTIONS
Institutional Representation, Communication and Positioning:
-To represent the organization in the local and international coordination forum trying to rationalise the available resources and looking for any complementarities should provide added value to the international response.
- To negotiate collaboration arrangements and agreements between the local authorities and MdM and with other agencies and/or partner actors.
- To act as spokesperson in the country, for external communication and agreeing the contents and the position with headquarters.
- He/She has to ensure the appropriate participation in the refugee protection working group leb by UNHCR.
Definition and Planning of MdM activity in the specific context:
- To define a specific action plan for the protection and promotion of wellbeing of DRC refugees and host communities by setting up a mental health and psychosocial focus on SGBV and IPV.
- To identify the operational problems and risks, adapting the set up of the structure and making it flexible according to specific needs.
- To guarantee appropriate management (planning of activities, follow-up of indicators, reporting, evaluation of action) of Médicos del Mundo project in the region of intervention.
- To coordinate the preparation and delivery of monitoring progress and final reports required by the donor, as well as Médicos del Mundo SITREP internal reports..
-Supervise Finance, Administration, HR and Logistics with the support of the HQ.
Human resources and Security management:
- To ensure that Médicos del Mundo comply with the internal regulations for HR management and Security.
- To manage, oversee and direct the field team.
- To ensure the management of Security and assume the responsibility of an update risk analysis and mitigation measures for the safety and security of all the personnel according to the tools in use.
