Purpose of the Position

 

  • Enure baseline is established
  • Ensure the DryDev bridging programme Design, Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning, knowledge management, Reporting and Communication of DryDev Bridging program
  • Ensure each DryDev Woreda coordinators MAE system in place & conducted accordingly 
  • Apply the programme M&E enhancing technology and ensure quality data management and reporting
  • Consolidate and disseminate learning
  • Support programme staff in strengthening of community institutions and policy influencing
  • Work with GAM team towards raising resources for DryDev scaling up after 2020
  • Ensure other part of  DryDev scaling programs/projects MAE, reporting, KM and communication
  • Ensure DryDev as product marked to scaling stakeholders

Major Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate effectively and efficiently HO level DryDev bridging and related projects/program  baseline established, DME, KM, Reporting & Communication.
  • MAE framework finalized, all  DryDev Woreda coordinators capacitated & system in place &
·         Provide guidance and ensure on MAE framework, KM & Communication based on overarching theories of change and result framework  in six interlinked result framework namely sub catchment‐level natural resource management (NRM); on‐farm water and soil management; agricultural commodity production; enhancing market access; financial services linking; local governance and institutional strengthening; planning, monitoring and evaluation (M&E) and scaling of learning; and land right through executing following OxC
·         Lead each Woreda (both DryDev and its components) supportive monitoring and on spot support
·         Ensure DryDev scaling principles such as co-learning, cost effectiveness, inclusiveness, climate smart, sustainability and scalability  mainstreamed in to day to day program rolling out
·         Ensure DryDev scaling up excuted as per designed
·         Prepare quality and timely regular reports and submit the same to HO, Donors and  other concerned
·         Ensure each Woreda detailed annual activity vs finance, purchase and other required consolidated
·         Lead the communication & signing agreement with Government offices
·         Engage in Identifying best practices, KM and communicated to scaling stakeholders
·         Engage in practicing appropriate tools like CFP, mentoring and etc are effectively practiced within the Program coordinators  and ensure accountability
·         Engage in developing CN and proposal to raise more resources

Job Requirements

Qualifications Required:

 

  • University degree preferably M.Sc in economics, Sociology, and related field.
  • Training and knowledge in ODK or other MAE tools
  • Training in developing story
  • At least 3 years working experience in Coordinating integrated program
  • At least 4 years’ experience in DME, Knowledge Management & communication.
  • Must have a clear understanding of major donors’ perspectives, requirements and standards
  • Must have proven analytical/ problem solving abilities.
  • Experiences in excel.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills – builds good relationships with internal and external stakeholders and maintain effective collaboration with all staff
  • Excellent skill in producing quality report
  • Appropriate skills and experience in the capacity building and training of staff and partners;
  • Rich experience in handling productive meeting
  • Rich experience communication
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation
  • Excellent experience in proposal development, budget preparation and report writing;
  • Good knowledge of oral and written English language.

  • Work environment:  Office-based with periodic  travel to the field
