Save the Children International is currently recruiting for the position of Director of Financial Management and Activity Operations for a USAID Civil Society support NOFO Award at our Country Office in Kampala. The Director of Financial Management and Activity Operations will oversee activity financial and human resource management, procurement, logistics, sub-award management and general administration of the award.
To be successful for this role, you will have/bring the following:
- Master’s degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field, with a minimum of five (5) years of experience in managing finance, operations/ administration, logistics and/ or human resource-related matters for International development activities of similar scope and size of this activity;
- Alternatively, a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the above.
- A relevant professional certification (e.g. CPA, ACCA, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated supervisory experience.
- Familiarity with USG financial reporting and compliance requirements.
- Experience in managing donor-funded grants of similar scope and size of this Activity.
- Experience in risk management and implementation of internal controls.
- Experience in sub-award administration, management, monitoring and compliance.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
