Background:

Farsight Africa Group seeks a motivated Architect Consultant to provide architectural design and consultancy services for infrastructure and digital transformation projects in Kenya.

Objective:
To develop architectural designs, provide technical expertise, and ensure effective site supervision for various projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Architectural Design & Documentation:
    • Create architectural designs, detailed drawings, and 3D visualizations.
    • Ensure designs meet project requirements and local building standards.
    • Maintain organized design documentation.
  2. Site Supervision & Coordination:
    • Conduct site visits to oversee construction and ensure compliance with designs.
    • Coordinate with contractors and engineers to resolve on-site issues.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Gather project requirements and provide architectural guidance.
    • Communicate design concepts effectively in project meetings.
  4. Training & Capacity Building:
    • Conduct training sessions on architectural design and site supervision.
    • Develop training materials for local teams.
  5. Reporting & Documentation:
    • Submit regular progress reports and project updates to the Senior Project Manager.
    • Maintain comprehensive records of all project documentation.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education:
    Bachelor’s degree in architecture. Training in site supervision is an advantage.
  • Experience:
    Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in architectural design and site supervision.
  • Skills:
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop, and MS Office.
    • Strong communication and team-building skills.
    • Fluent in English (spoken, reading, and writing).

Deliverables:

  • Complete architectural design proposals and detailed drawings.
  • Regular site supervision and progress reports.
  • Training materials and capacity-building sessions.
  • Comprehensive project progress reports.
