Recently UNICEF ran a discovery process to define a new Digital Revenue Strategy to accelerate digital growth as well as prepare its Middle-Income Country Offices for future Private Sector Fundraising (PSFR) activities. Within this context UNICEF Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Regional Office is looking to initiate Individual Giving (IG) and Private Sector engagements through digital channels and partnerships to support in the long-term a balanced financing of UNICEF programmes for children. This approach requires good knowledge of the country context where UNICEF operates and the fundamentals of fundraising.
Context
The assigned UN Volunteer will support UNICEF’s project to grow on a digital and partnership transformation journey to help increase revenues and make an impact on children’s lives around the world. He/she will be supporting the
Communications and Partnerships and Resource Mobilization Teams in the UNICEF Morocco Country Office, based in Rabat, Morocco. He/she will be working with highly committed and performance-driven teams responsible for overseeing the development of digital
communications and innovative strategies to enable Individual Giving (IG) fundraising, and to engage and cultivate relationships with individual donors and the private sector in emerging markets across MENA, focusing on Morocco. This effort will contribute to the diversification of sustainable and quality income streams for UNICEF. The role will focus on supporting brand development and partnerships, preparing the Morocco Country Office for future domestic IG digital fundraising efforts. The UN Volunteer will report to the Partnerships Specialist and work closely with the Communications and Advocacy team and will receive guidance and support from senior colleagues in the digital team in PFP and the MENA Regional Office.
