Chemonics seeks a Chief of Party and Technical Experts for the anticipated USAID-funded Promoting Access to Quality, Low-Fee Non-State Education Finance. The United States Agency for International Development Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (USAID/DRC) is developing an activity to promote access to quality low-fee, non-state education through private sector engagement, household access to affordable financing, and family economic empowerment. We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide overall leadership, program direction, and technical expertise
  • Serve as the project’s principal liaison with USAID staff, government institutions, client partners, GDRC counterparts, donors, and other key stakeholders
  • Supervise a diverse professional team

Qualifications:

  • A./B.S. in social sciences with 8 years of supervisory experience, including in rural education, with knowledge of the non-state education sector in the DRC
  • Skillful in high-level strategic leadership and effective stakeholder management, with experience managing concurrent activity interventions in the DRC or sub-Saharan Africa
