Role Purpose:
Under the general guidance of Family Planning and Post abortion care (FPPAC) project manager, the Community Mobilizer assistant will take the overall responsibility of the day-to-day implementation of the community mobilization components in FPPAC programme activities in five districts of the Karkaar region and district in Bari region – by leading coordination of CM activities with the MOH staffs at the health facilities and working closely with the district health management team. Organise community mobilization activities and assist in the management of CM information, in order to support the delivery of high quality, effective family planning and post abortion care (FPPAC).

Qualifications and Experience
* University degree in Public health /qualified Nurse or Midwife /another relevant field, or or with solid experience on demand creation.
* Three or more years’ experience in working within the community social mobilization and BCC activities on reproductive health.
* Training in Community mobilization/Behavioural change communication (BCC) /Communication for development (CD4).
* Experience in community mobilization/BCC activities on birth spacing and reproductive health.
* Commitment to and understanding of Save the Children’s aims, values and principles.
* Strong organisational and analytical skills and ability to work well under pressure and with minimal supervision.
* Strong interpersonal and community mobilisation skills.
* Highly motivated, and flexible.
* Excellent computer skills particularly in MS word, excel and PowerPoint.
* Willing and able to be based and travel regularly within remote areas, where services are limited.
