MSF – Holland, Kenya office is currently sourcing for a suitable candidate to fill the following position:

BUSINESS ANALYST

1 Position – Based in Nairobi

Main Purpose

Reporting to Logistics Coordinator, the incumbent will be responsible to support the identification and implementation of improvements in KO processes and systems, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across UniField Instance from KO, Supported Country Programs, D365, KO Automation’s, and other systems related to the Kenya Office to contribute to enhanced supply chain performance. Additionally, you assist in the preparation of monthly and periodic reports and newsletters.

Specific accountabilities include but are not limited to:

· Support the identification and implementation of system and process enhancements in KO supply chain and logistics to contribute to operational efficiency, in coordination with other departments.

· Assist in proposing and suggesting process improvements aligned with OCA and Kenya Office strategic plans, objectives, and operational priorities.

· Contribute to the analysis of root causes of deficiencies and bottlenecks within business processes and provide input for corrective actions.

· Help ensure data accuracy and consistency across UniField Instance, D365, KO Automations, and other systems to support smooth supply and logistics operations.

· Collaborate with teams in Amsterdam, Kenya Office, and Supported Country Programs to gather and assess functional requirements for system and process adaptations.

· Assist in translating operational requirements into actionable changes by working with ICT and external service providers.

· Support the implementation of new system features and process improvements to enhance supply chain/logistics and ICT performance.

· Provide training and supporting teams in the effective use of new functionalities, reporting tools, and system upgrades.

· Create and maintaining analytical reports and KPIs to monitor supply chain performance and provide insights to inform decision-making and improve practices across Amsterdam – APU, IT, ESD, OPS, PHD, Talent and Learning, People and Culture, Kenya Office, and Supported Country Programs.

Requirements

Education

Diploma or equivalent certification in Business Administration, Computer / Data Science, Engineering or related field

Experience

2 years of experience in, business intelligence & logistics and supply chain processes analysis and development

Languages

English

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of ERP systems (MS Dynamics, Odoo) and analytics and reporting tools and of support services and supply chain processes.
  • Knowledge of process mapping, system integration, and data analysis.
  • Proficiency in business analysis tools (e.g., Microsoft Visio, JIRA, or similar) and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI), Data Analysis tool (e.g SQL, SPSS, Python, R, MS Azure etc,)

Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) was founded in 1971 in France by a group of doctors and journalists in the wake of war and famine in Biafra. Their aim was to establish an independent organisation that focuses on delivering emergency medicine aid quickly, effectively and impartially.

Doctors Without Borders

Three hundred volunteers made up the organisation when it was founded: doctors, nurses and other staff, including the 13 founding doctors and journalists.

MSF was created in the belief that all people should have access to healthcare regardless of gender, race, religion, creed or political affiliation, and that people’s medical needs outweigh respect for national boundaries. MSF’s principles of action are described in our charter, which established a framework for our activities.

MSF's first missions

MSF’s first mission was to the Nicaraguan capital, Managua, in 1972, after an earthquake destroyed most of the city and killed between 10,000 and 30,000 people.

In 1974, MSF set up a relief mission to help the people of Honduras after Hurricane Fifi caused major flooding and killed thousands of people.

In 1975, MSF established its first large-scale medical programme during a refugee crisis, providing medical care for the waves of Cambodians seeking sanctuary from Pol Pot’s oppressive rule.

In these first missions, the weaknesses of MSF as a new humanitarian organisation became readily apparent: preparation was lacking, doctors were left unsupported and supply chains were tangled.
