World Vision Malawi is seeking a Chief of Party (CoP) for an anticipated USAID Malawi Secondary Success Activity.

As the Chief of Party (CoP), will be responsible for the overall oversight, coordination and leadership of the program. You will be required to collaborate with the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health, and other critical partners to provide strategic and high-level support for effective capacity building at the local level and sustainability of the project interventions. You will oversee a team of experts and support staff, prepare reports and annual operating plans, align project initiatives with in-country priorities and ensure the program is compliant with USAID and World Vision regulations. This project budget is estimated at $10-25M USD and programming is anticipated to start in October 2024.

Please note: this position is contingent upon funding and donor approval.

Requirements include:

  • Master’s degree in education, especially with a focus on secondary education and/or girls education.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in similar positions relevant to the project’s results and objectives, required for its successful implementation.
  • Program management experience, specifically for USAID-funded programs.
  • Experience in leading and managing large grants in a complex environment.
  • Experience as a CoP, “key personnel”, or senior expert advisor required.
  • Experience in managing sub grants and contracts under grants for complex projects.
  • Fluency in English.
