Overall Purpose

Following the outbreak of the fighting in Sudan in Mid-April 2023, the Danish Refugee Council (DRC), Save the Children International (SCI) and Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) established a Protection Consortium project funded by FCDO. The project will target those who are facing heightened protection risk or are exposed to rights violations as a result of protracted crises and the ongoing conflict. The consortium will provide protection to vulnerable populations in Sudan affected by ongoing crisis. This will include provision of General Protection, GBV & Child Protection services, legal assistance, support to Persons with Specific Needs, Housing, Land and Property rights as well as coordination and advocacy. The consortium will also carry out protection monitoring, collectively advocating for impactful and positive change in the protection environment.

DRC is therefore recruiting a Consortium Coordinator to support and oversee the successful management of the FCDO funded Protection Consortium.
