The Women’s Integrated Sexual Health (WISH) project which is being implemented in partnership with the consortium partners: Family Guidance Association of Ethiopia (FGAE), Marie Stops  International Ethiopia (MSIE), International Rescue Committee (IRC) and Development Media International (DMI) and the project would like to hire data collectors in a short-term consultancy arrangement.

  • Number required: 15 (4 Afan Oromo speakers, 3 Sidama Speakers and 3 Nuer speakers, 5 Amharic speakers)
  • Contract duration:  15 days 
  • Duty station:   Selected sites in Addis Ababa, Oromia, SNNP, Gambela regions 

Role and responsibilities:

  • The role of the data collectors is to do key informant interviews, focus group discussions, record reviews, Questionnaire, and observations in selected health facilities in selected sites of the aforementioned regions.
  • They are also responsible to collect, record and submit quality data and produce a comprehensive report after taking a two-day training before leaving for  the field for the actual data collection.
  • The data collectors should participate in a data analysis workshop that will be organized immediately after the completion of the data collection.
  • Return of all the equipment and materials they received for the activity and participation in the final meeting will mark the end of data collectors’ engagement in this activity.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Public Health, Nursing, Health Officer, Health Promotion and Health Education.
  • Past experience in conducting similar work.
  • Knowledge of local languages and command of English is an asset.
  • Ability for field travels and work in remote and hard to reach areas.
  • Computer literacy (Word, Excel and Power Point).
