In partnership with WFP, Qatar Charity Somalia Program seeks to recruit SCOPE registrar in Abudwaq, Xeraale and Balanbal.

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Sensitize communities on project objectives and activities.
  2. Participate in community’s discussion and consultation process and throughout the project implementation cycles.
  3. Conduct registration of the identified beneficiary in SCOPE using a biometric registration system.
  4. Validate beneficiary’s data in SCOPE system to ensure accuracy and completeness prior cash/food distribution.
  5. Ensure beneficiary targeting and selection procedure and criteria are done in accordance with QC and WFP policies for beneficiary selection process and as stipulated in the project document.
  6. Ensure any challenges and gaps during beneficiary registration are shared timely to project officers and responded to appropriately.
  7. Provide regular updates and reports to the project officer regarding the progress of SCOPE- system beneficiary registration in the respective operation areas.
  8. Ensure that beneficiaries are adequately communicated about cash transfer and in-kind food such as:- distribution date, duration, location to redeem SCOPE cards, cash delivery mechanism and food distribution points, required forms of verification and identification, and the entitlements to be received.
  9. Share available community feedback mechanisms with the target population to ensure the affected people have a platform to voice their concerns and provide input on project activities. Undertake any other FSL related tasks as assigned by management.
  10. Undertake any other assignments as per request.

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, International Development, International Relations or related field.
  • Previous work experience on Biometric scope registrations is required.
  • Usage in computer software like word and excel and WFP scope database.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Humanitarian work specially collecting data at community level.
  • Computer literacy
  • Solid Excel skills.
  • Reporting skills.
  • Good in English and Arabic.
  • be able to understand local contact
  • Note: this position is open only for Somali nationals
