ENUMERATORS/RESEARCH ASSISTANTS

DMT Consult™ is a leading gender-focused and SRH consultancy firm focused to undertaking gender assessments, gender audits, project evaluations and providing capacity building trainings to international NGOs, government departments, UN agencies and local NGOs in areas of gender mainstreaming, gender responsive planning and budgeting in the agriculture, nutrition, WASH, health and other development interventions in Malawi and other countries. The firm develops manuals and packs for use in gender mainstreaming, Gender Responsive Budgeting (GRB), Gender Based Violence (GBV) trainings, gender policy development and other staff capacity building trainings. DMT Consult has upcoming and anticipated assignments with a number of clients/partners and intends to hire committed and dynamic persons for the part-time Enumerators/Research Assistant positions (based in Lilongwe). All positions are contingent on award of contracts and are on short-term basis.

Duties and Responsibilities

Participate in the training of enumerators and fully understand the scope and tools to be used for this assignment.

Provide feedback to the Lead and Associate consultants on the observations made during the pre-testing of tools.

Conduct Household Surveys, Focus Group Discussions and Key Informant Interviews with identified target groups.

Carefully and safely keep all completed data tools in accordance to the set data management protocol.

Submit all completed data forms and equipment to the designated persons

Carry out any assignment as assigned by the Lead and Associate consultants from time to time

Qualifications and Attributes

Advanced certificate/Diploma/Degree in Community Development, Gender, Agriculture, Nutrition, M&E and other relevant disciplines.

Previous experience in data collection using digital devices is a plus.

High degree of integrity and attention to detail – a requisite attribute. Sound Interpersonal skills and an avid team player
