In partnership with WFP, Qatar Charity Somalia Program seeks to recruit field supervisor in Abdudwaaq, Xeraale and Balanbal.

Major Responsibilities:

  1. Contribute to the mobilizations and sensitization of the target population to the project objectives and scope.
  2. Ensure any feedback from beneficiaries or target communities are shared timely and that they are responded promptly.
  3. Ensure food commodities are properly stored in the allocated warehouse and distributed according to program guidelines.
  4. Ensure less last mile device is properly used during food distribution.
  5. Prepare food distribution plans and schedules on monthly basis for efficient distribution.
  6. Conduct regular trainings for field staff on proper food handling and distribution procedures.
  7. Supervise field staff in implementing food and cash distribution activities.
  8. Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with WFP guidelines.
  9. Ensure beneficiary registration on SCOPE-system is accurate and up to date and errors are rectified immediately.
  10. Collaborate with other stakeholders such as local authorities and community leaders to ensure smooth implementation of the project.
  11. Conduct regular field visits to assess project progress and address any challenges.
  12. Undertake any other assignments as per request.

Experience and Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, agriculture, International Relations, or related field.
  • Previous work experience in FLS is required.
  • Experience in CBT and in-kind food distribution is plus.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Humanitarian work specially collecting data at community level.
  • Computer literacy
  • Solid Excel skills.
  • Reporting skills.
  • Good in English and Arabic.
  • be able to understand local contact
  • N.B This position is only for Somali nationals.
