NRC is looking for a new Food Security Programme Development Manager (PDM) for our country programme in Mali. The Food Security PDM is responsible for designing, developing and implementing the Food Security programme in Mali From our four field offices in Mali, NRC strives to meet the basic needs of people affected by violence and displacement.

We provide education, shelter, food security, and give people legal assistance. Since 2016, we also have a dedicated emergency response mechanism.

In Mali, we have offices in Gao, Timbuktu, Mopti, and Kidal.

The Food Security PDM reports to the Area Manager

Main tasks:

  • Develop Food Security strategy, technical SOPs / guidelines and Macro LFAs
  • Responsible of development and manage funding proposal, project budgets and donor reports
  • Coordinate and manage Food Security project implementation (activities, budget and project documentation) in line with proposals, strategies and donor requirements
  • Ensure capacity building of project staff and transfer key skills
  • Lead the development of proposals and budgets and reporting for all Food Security projects in Mali
  • Actively participate in the Food Security cluster and other relevant coordination mechanisms

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years of experience from a senior level project implementation position in a humanitarian/recovery context

  • Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
  • Technical Food Security expertise
  • Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
  • Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile
  • Fluency in English and French, both written and verbal
  • Relevant University degree
  • Knowledge of the context in Mali is an advantage
  • Valid driver’s license
