JOB TITLE: HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER

REPORTING TO: Operations Director

LOCATION: KENYA

JOB TYPE: PART TIME

JOB FIELD: HUMAN RESOURCES

THE ROLE: BE THE STRATEGY BEHIND THE GAME.

We are looking for an experienced and passionate HR Manager who will be involved in people management and operations, recruiting, planning and implementing an overall HR strategy and assist in creating and implementing HR policies and procedures.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Academic Qualifications

A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR management, business management or related fields.

Relevant certification on HR systems will be required.

Required skills and qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an HR Manager or similar HR role
  • Excellent knowledge of various HR functions such as pay & benefits, recruitment, on boarding, evaluation, training & development etc.
  • Understanding of labour laws and disciplinary procedures
  • Experience working with human resource management systems/software.
  • Administration and coordination of internal staff and processes
  • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solver
  • Good decision-making skills
  • Strong ethical standards
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, Capacity Building or relevant field.
  • Certified HR Practitioner
  • Previous experience working with UN agencies will be plus.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting ads and managing the hiring process
  • Develop training and development programs
  • Organising staff training sessions and activities
  • Conducting the necessary monthly, quarterly KPI on the team
  • Provide counselling on policies and procedures
  • Lead in performance management processes
  • Support the management of disciplinary and grievance issues
  • Negotiating salaries, contracts, working conditions or redundancy packages with staff and representatives
  • Review employment and working conditions to ensure legal compliance
  • Looking after the health, safety and welfare of all employees
  • Work closely with various departments, increasingly in a consultancy role, assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures
